When you submit a quote request we collect your name, email address, phone number, ZIP code, preferred contact method, and the details of your service request. When you register a business we collect your name, business name, business address, phone number, email address, website, business description, services offered, service area, years in business, employee count, and ownership information used for verification purposes. When you leave a review we collect your review text and star rating.

Information collected automatically: When you use OnlyLocal we automatically collect your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, search terms entered, and ZIP codes searched. We use this information to operate and improve the platform and to track market-level demand for our deferred billing system.

Information from third parties: We use Supabase for authentication and database services, Stripe for payment processing, Resend for email delivery, and Twilio for SMS notifications. These services may collect additional information subject to their own privacy policies.

We use the information we collect to operate and improve the OnlyLocal platform, match homeowners with relevant local businesses based on ZIP code and service category, send quote requests to businesses on behalf of homeowners, send transactional emails and SMS notifications related to your use of the platform, process subscription payments for business memberships, conduct and renew business verifications, track market-level search volume to determine when markets activate billing, send market activation notices and billing communications to businesses, and respond to your questions and support requests.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your information to serve you advertising. We do not share your contact information with businesses beyond what is necessary to fulfill a quote request you initiated.

When you submit a quote request as a homeowner your name, phone number, email, ZIP code, preferred contact method, and service details are shared with the specific business you requested a quote from. This sharing is necessary to fulfill your request. By submitting a quote request you consent to this sharing.

We do not share your quote request information with other businesses, advertisers, or any third party beyond the business you contacted.

Business profile information including business name, owner name, description, services, service area, phone number, and website is displayed publicly on the platform. This is information businesses provide intentionally for the purpose of being discovered by homeowners. Business owner email addresses and billing information are not displayed publicly.

OnlyLocal uses essential cookies necessary to operate the platform including authentication session cookies. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings but this may affect your ability to use certain features of the platform.

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account we will delete your personal information within 30 days except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance purposes. Quote request records are retained for 24 months to support review verification and dispute resolution. Billing records are retained as required by applicable law.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information including encrypted data transmission, secure database storage through Supabase, and access controls limiting who on our team can access personal information. No security system is perfect and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised please contact us immediately.

You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct inaccurate information, request deletion of your account and personal information, and opt out of non-essential communications. To exercise any of these rights contact us at the email address displayed in the footer of this website. We will respond within 30 days.

OnlyLocal is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
